Commercial Developers
Become a licensed Commercial software or hardware developer, or re-license.

Non-Commercial Developers
Become a licensed Non-Commercial software developer, or re-license.

Gracenote offers two types of license for software developers:
A Non-Commercial License for developers who do not receive any revenue as a result of their application and a Commercial License for revenue-producing applications.

For purposes of determining whether you are Commercial or Non-Commercial, sources of revenue include, but are not limited to:

  • Software sales, licensing, or shareware fees;
  • Upgrade, full-version, or support fees;
  • Revenue from advertising, links, or e-commerce on a web site that provides a link from which the application can be downloaded.
